Proposition 87 will make a huge difference in bringing cleaner air and cheaper energy to California.  It will:

- Reduce gas and diesel usage by 25% over the next 10 years;
- Create thousands of new clean energy jobs and grow our economy;
- Reduce air pollution that causes asthma attacks, lung disease and cancer;
- Make oil companies pay their fair share for oil drilling in California, like they pay in every other oil-producing state;
- Make it illegal for oil companies to raise gas prices to pass the cost along to consumers. 

We do not share the information you've given us with unaffiliated groups without your explicit permission.
 
Petitions
For petitions and surveys you've signed or completed, we treat your name, city, state, and comments as public information - for example, we may provide compilations of petitions, with your comments, to oil companies, to the Governor and legislators, to other targets, or to the press.  We will not disclose your email address without your permission.
 
Sending Emails via YesOn87.org
In certain cases, we may enable you to send individual e-mails to government and other targets as well as Letters-to-the-Editor to various news publications, through our website. These messages are sent in your name, with your e-mail address as the return address and your full name and contact information is provided as part of the submission. These messages will only be sent out under your name as you approve them on an individual basis using our email tool. You are solely responsible for the specific message(s) you send using our email tool.
